Joanna See Too

Joanna See Too is a 54 year old leading artist and vice-chairperson of the Chinese Theatre Circle (CTC), one of the 15 remaining Chinese opera troupes in Singapore.

Joanna picked up Chinese Opera when she was 15. Her family often listened to Chinese Opera music and it grew on her largely. She was introduced to CTC and she would go for practices after school and started performing after less than a year of training. Joanna quit her job as a payroll supervisor and joined CTC full-time in 1996. She has starred in approximately 2000 performances since then. She also conducts weekly makeup and stage-fighting classes at Kim Seng Community Centre.

Joanna travelled to Barcelona in 2001 to receive the Junior Chamber International award for Outstanding Young Persons of the World.
