Dedicated domestic worker volunteers and empowers other migrant workers
For our newest episode of WomenTalk TV, we had the pleasure of speaking with Nina ‘Cute’ Rotelo, a domestic worker who has lived and worked in Singapore for more than 20 years. Cute chose to move away from her home country to give her family a better life, and has made Singapore her home over the years. She now volunteers at HOME (Humanitarian Organisation for Migration Economics), a non-governmental organisation dedicated to advocating for the rights of migrant workers in Singapore, where she teaches other domestic workers important life skills, such as financial literacy. She hopes to empower other migrant workers with the knowledge and skills to succeed in life.
