We are thrilled to have had the privilege to speak with Claire Wong, co-founder and joint artistic director of Checkpoint Theatre! After spending much of her working life in the legal industry, Claire chose to fully pursue her long-time passion for theatre, studying overseas before eventually returning home to Singapore. Checkpoint Theatre is dedicated to developing Singapore stories, focusing much of their energy on developing new and unheard voices.

Claire Wong is the co-founder and Joint Artistic Director of Checkpoint Theatre. After a stint in the legal industry, Claire chose to leave the corporate world to pursue her passion in theatre. Through her work at Checkpoint Theatre, she hopes to give Singaporean theatre-makers a space to find their voice.
