Nasyitah Tan is the founder of The LOOMs Workshops, which aims to empower women on the margins of society through skills training and education. In addition to using art and fashion as mediums to create employment opportunities for these women, Nasyitah also seeks to transform their lives by helping them to build up their self-esteem and confidence. In doing so, she hopes to establish a network of women who are able to support each other through the many trials and tribulations that they might face.
