Founder of da ka:po Late Starters Orchestra
Are you a music lover who has no musical background but has always wanted to learn how to play an instrument? Fret not, as we speak with Janelle Kam, the founder of da ka:po Late Starters Orchestra for this week’s episode of WomenTalk Pulse. Janelle established da ka:po with the vision of giving adult beginners a safe and non-judgemental space to pick up music. She herself made a career switch in 2000 to pursue her passion in music by learning how to play the cello and becoming a professional cellist. Through the orchestra, Janelle wants to show others that music is open to all and that contrary to popular belief, it’s never too late for anyone to pick up music.
