Dawn Teo

“I felt I exchanged my tragedy right, for a calling and a cause bigger than myself, because when I look at them, hey, I’m not the only one with the stories, you know?”

In our final WomenTalk-SG Cares series episode, we meet with Dawn Teo, the founder of Phi Life Center, a social movement that works closely with at-risk youths to help them heal from the pain they have went through. After experiencing a personal loss, Dawn discovered a new meaning to life, which prompted her to start volunteering at the Singapore Girls’ Home. She took the brave step of leaving her corporate position behind to commit herself to befriending these youths whom she had met at the homes. Drawing on the connections and expertise she has from her banking years, Dawn works with her team of volunteers to mentor the youths, and also more importantly, to provide them with emotional support through the difficult times in their lives.
