Alvina Neo is a hand cyclist and pistol shooter who was born with spina bifida, a congenital condition that results in the incomplete development of the spinal cord.

Alvin has raced (hand-cycled) in two Sundown Marathons and four Vertical Marathons, scaled mount Ophir and also a dragon boater. At the Asian Para Games in Incheon Korea, she took part in two events – the 48.6km race and 16.2km H3 individual time trial final.

Despite a shoulder injury that Alvina has pulled through, she decided to take up air pistol shooting. Within four months, she improved to a personal best score of 367, and the national para shooter made her debut the Asian Paralympic Games in Singapore. Alvina is one of 10 debutants in the 11-strong Singapore shooting squad, and she competed in the 10m air pistol at the Games.
